How did you become involved in fighting and what style of fighting do you compete in?
me and my mate had just stopped playing football so we started up muay thai for something else to do and to keep us fit.
Age you started fighting?
i started training in muay thai when i was 15, and started fighting when i was 16.
Height, Weight Off-season and fight weight, DOB or AGE?
my height is 5,4. i walk around at 62kg and i fight at 57kg. i am 21 years old
Fighting styles you have learnt?
i have learnt muay thai up until about 2 years ago, then i started bjj and wrestling, i hope to start competing in mma in the near future.
What is your current business/job/location?
i work for david weston electrical as an electrician, dave is also my trainer at the gym so he is very supportive of my training.
What motivates you to fight?
i just have a passion for it, i love the thrill of fighting someone else in front of the crowd, and i also love training in the sport.
Your Favourite Domestic and International fighters?
my favorite fighters lately have been ufc fighters, jose aldo and urijah faber.
How has fighting changed your life?
i think i am alot more humble and settled, fighting has matured me and given me something to be passionate about.
People that have inspired you not only in sport but in life aswell?
my trainer david weston, he keeps my head straight and is a good life mentor.
Great experiences that happened in your life?
my best experiences were fighting on a evolution show, also winning my title belts.
Your Interests and Hobbies?
my interests and hobbies are muay thai, bjj, wrestling and of course mma.
Family Background and current family?
my family is jane, my mum, my dad tony, and my twin sisters kate and sara, and my girlfriend mel.
Happiest memory
winning my first WMC victorian title.
Future Goals in life?
i am about to head over to the states to train with team alpha male, so i just hope everything there works out and i start fighting on good fight shows.
What one item can you not live without
my ipad!!!
Favourite holiday destination?
thailand of course!!
If you could have dinner with five people, who would they be?
my girlfriend mel, will smith, Muhammad ali, randy couture and 50 cent.
What one word would you use to describe yourself?
determined
Do you have a sporting mentor?
yes, david weston!
Training Background(sports, etc)?
i have played football, then i started muay thai and now mma!
What is your favourite fighting style?
i like to keep the pace and always be first on my opponent.
Training Philosophy?
if u put the hard yards in training you have nothing to worry about at the fight!
Favourite Foods/Type of diet you follow?
i just eat clean, with the occasional fast food to keep me sane.
Favourite Training session plus training spilt(training schedule)
my favourite training session is always Saturdays, its all over in the morning and u get to kick back for the rest of the day.
Describe a typical training day
i run and and do strength and conditioning in the morning, then i do typical muay thai training at night, which includes running, shadow boxing, bag work, pads, sparring and grappling everyday.
Worst injury you have suffered
i have hurt my rotator cuff in my shoulder but im all good now!
What is your favourite movie?
crank and crank high voltage!
What one lesson did you take from your parents?
dont give up
How do you deal with temptation?
do something else
What is your favourite music/band/song?
i like all music
What is your biggest fear?
failing
Do you believe "never giving up" is the difference between making it and not making it in any sport?
yes
Have you ever failed at anything? If yes how did you overcome this?
i have failed, but i bounced back better
What inspired you to succeed?
i want to be successful, that's what inspires me
Who has been your greatest rival?
Stuart Palmer, i fought him 3 times.
Fights you have competed in and titles you have won?
i have WMC vic title 55kg and 57kg, defended 57 kg, WKA east coast title, WKA Australian title!
Future fights planned?
none at this stage, i am going to fight in mma
What title would you like to win?
ufc bantam weight :D
